Free Range Chicken and Eggs
Do chickens need to eat grass and bugs?
Real Farm Eggs come from chickens that
forage on our ranch. Our chickens are rotated through new clean
pastures just like our cattle and pigs. The nutrient quality of
the egg is enhanced many times over when the chicken is allowed to
forage as our Free Range Chickens do. Caged animals produce
something less than superior food. A diet of foods produced by
foraged animals enriches the nutrient density of those foods not fully
obtainable by any other means.
Our chickens are never given any vaccinations, which are immuno-depressant,
no growth hormone feeds, which are essentially steroids given for faster
weight gain and no chemical wormers or de-licers. They are allowed
to naturally fight against worms and lice by being allowed to roam free.
Their natural defense against parasites is by "dusting off" in the dirt.
Our chickens are rotated through lush, green, clover rich pastures,
producing ecologically enhanced soils continuing the process of
producing highly nutritious forages which feed our animals a diet full
of high density nutrition. The cycle never ends.
